Met office issues thunderstorm alert

The met office has issued a new yellow alert for Wednesday, warning of thunderstorms and heavy rain.The new alert is in force until 4 pm on Wednesday. The met office said that the showers rate may exceed 35mm per hour....

Hopefully it won't be as bad as that they got in Crete yesterday. The footage of the flooding and damage caused is horrible!

Somebody put a photo up earlier today of what they described as a "mini tornado" off the coast of Akrotiri - I'm guessing they meant a waterspout.

Well here in Chloraka, we haven't had any rain today. In fact by mid morning the sun was out.Which was a good thing as I was able to hang out my washing to dry...
