Hi everyone, we have recently sold our house and are in the process of changing our address wherever needed.
I guess I have to change it on my vehicle logbook as well wouldn't I, or can I leave the old address on there until it's sold, which I intend to do within a year or so. But where would I go to change it, and can it be done by post?
Thanks for any advice.

To be honest, even though we have moved several times we have never done this, and don't know anyone who has.
As long as your insurance know, I don't think that it matters, but nothing to stop you doing it at the citizens centres if you are concerned

I have previously sold my house and moved, but haven't done anything about my cars logbook.
I don't think that matters. Why give yourself extra work! As long as you've told your insurance co...

I did mine online , but from what people say I don’t think it matters .
My log book still has my old address on it , they don’t send you a new one .

Ive got a feeling the law requires you update your address, how would the Police know where to find you, for example in a hit and run?

I tried to change my address online when I paid my Road Tax, the links were all in Greek and none seemed to be what I wanted so I went to a Citizens Service Centre. They couldn't find my new address on their records and said just leave it!

Thanks for the info everyone, yes I changed my address with my insurance provider first. I guess I'll leave the Logbook then reading your replies.
I'll wait until I sell it, it can get changed then.
Thanks everyone.

This is another reason why you will have to have an up to date log book, turning a blind eye will not be a runner if cameras are installed
