Europe's hot ticket: The summer is far from over in Cyprus. Covid cases are low and it's quarantine-free, so there's no better place for a late break
  • Coronavirus has largely spared Cyprus, which is the third-largest island in the Mediterranean
The country is sunny 300 days a year, with temperatures hovering around 25c well into November
Britons must provide a 'fit-to-fly' certificate prior to entry and proof of a negative Covid-19 test result

Cyprus is fabulous whatever time of the year but October and November are fantastic time to holiday to see the island as it’s cooler for travelling around, the Covid fighres in the U.K. are at a daily high since the beginning of May, so if this trend continues I can see that they will be back in Category C having a negative Covid test 72 hours before flying doesn’t mean you could be Covid free 72 hours after landing !!!
The Government here have kept a keen eye to ensure that the trend is minimal and hopefully they will continue placing welfare before €€€€

I would much rather they would not advertise themselves. I am scared of an influx of Brits bringing with them the coronavirus. Our health is much more important than our wealth.

British tourists aren't the problem. They have all been tested beforehand. The more the merrier I say. The economy needs it.

Agree with Dominic, it is not the tourists that are the problem. It is those who do not adhere to the simple rules regarding social distancing, hand sanitising etc that are more of a danger as they are the ones helping the virus spread.

Yes they have, actually. What's more, the vast majority of them have paid a lot of money to get the tests done privately. These people are not idiots. And the procedures at the airport are quite strict.

What do you base your assertion that they won't have been tested on?

Cost me £150 but the flights are only £95. I’ve flown out and back many times in September/October and normally the flights are around £250.

So basically what I’ve gained on the swings I’ve lost on the roundabouts.
