One of two staff members of the Kition bishopric who tested positive for the coronavirus had come into contact with the bishop who in turn contacted one of his counterparts, it emerged on Wednesday.Both staffers have been quarantined. This should ring alarm bells. I was staggered when I visited the lovely church at Pachyammos to observe that just about every visitor went around the church kissing all the icons and murals. They didn't get wiped down between visitor either. I imagine COVID could spread like wildfire through a congregation here.
