Immovable property tax ( again )

Yet another ( in the local ) dispute.Do you still have to pay immovable property tax ?.Someone was adamant that you still have to pay it but only when you sell your property.

Immovable property tax has been abolished. All the details of tax of any kind can be found on the Gov MOF site. There is a local property tax payable to the local offices once a year, in July.This is AFTER you get your title deeds. We paid a nominal amount when we lived in Tala. Where we live now, the mucktar does not impose it.
