Crossing to the North

Just wondered if anyone had actually crossed to the north recently - We need to go just for a couple of hours for something important and it would appear that Cypriots and permanent residents have been allowed to cross (with a negative test) since June, however, nothing further seems to have been posted so not sure if this is right, don't want to open a can of worms about going to the north, just would appreciate info from anyone who has been recently.
Thank You!

A negative Covid-19 test certificate is required.
This has not answered the question. Unless of course you have crossed in the last two weeks?

I haven't been there, but have been told that one could cross to the North from the South with a valid Covid PCR test. BUT on return you wouldn't be allowed to cross to the south!
Which just seems.....****.
So effectively to get to the north and come back, You would need to fly there Larnaca-Athens-Istanbul- Tymbou.
Unless you have an exceptionally important reason to go there, in which case you could enquire through the BHC, Nicosia. I only know of one case where a British Resident living in the North was allowed ( with special permission) to go south to attend his wife's funeral held in the south and to return north afterwards.
So in other words, forget it at present.

Some friends have just returned from the Far East to Cyprus ( south side) but live in the north. The can return to the north but wouldn't be allowed to come back to the south side.

Re... Crossing TO the North.. This was posted on the Eastern Forum just over 2 hrs ago..
" A friend tried this morning to cross to the North at Ayia Nik. Had the negative Covid test and this side allowed her through but told her that the Turkish side was sending people back from this morning.
When she tried at the Turkish border they told her she couldnt cross to the North as she was from UK (even though she hasnt been there for some considerable time and is a resident here). So she had to come back but they did say she might be able to cross at Nicosia. "
So, as you can see it can change day by day
