The Agreement signed by Greece and Egypt, conforms to all international law of the seas treaty's, and is lawful, the one signed by Libya and Turkey conforms to piracy and even ignores Crete's very existence ,
if Mickey Mouse had signed it , it would have more credibility.

Strange that if what you are doing is legal, you need five warships to escort your research ship? things are coming to a head now.

From that link:
Ankara, which does not recognise Cyprus as a state
Is that correct? Turkey doesn´t recognise an EU member state?

Worth a read. Perhaps, but to be taken with a fairly goodly pinch of salt, remembering where it is coming from. Turkey resents Israel's control of the Al Aqsa mosque in the heart of Jerusalem.

Agreed, but has Eudogan not changed Turkey from a forward looking secular democratic European looking nation
into a backward looking war mongering, undemocratic,Iran mk2?

I think the crux of the matter is mentioned in the article and consists of the Turkish control of half a dozen different self-created issues, which are dealt with in turn. By the time the Turkish population have been informed of the first issue, it has been superseded by the second and then by the third, ad nauseam. It is all to show that the boss man is in charge!

Is there an international court which could rule on the underlying conflict and which is acknowledged by Turkey?

The only court Turkey recognises is the Piracy of the seas court , where she is judge and jury.
