I think that rain on Monday is highly unlikely, at least according to my forecast.

Hate to be a bit pessimistic about the chances of rain in coastal areas on Monday. According to my <weatherunderground.com> forecast for Paphos on Monday it will be partly cloudy with Max temps of 29c and a westerly wind. The night and early morning will be up to 88% humidity. There is unfortunately only a 20% chance of a shower about 6am ish but no rain forecast!
If it rains it will probably be over the mountains, so alas not for us.

But you are miles and miles from Paphos.

1. Not miles and miles, kilometres and kilometres in Cyprus.
2. If a front arrives with rain, then, as a rule, this crosses the island. Paphos may get wet, sometimes even wetter than here, but 30-90 minutes earlier than here.
3. I'll stand by my forecast, at least for the moment, for the whole island, give or take a few grams.

I agre with you on this, HIC. As you said it would be very unusual if Paphos had rain in August. Not in the 20yrs I havd lived here... At present theres no talk of any storms coming our way.

We are a long way from Devil's habitat.

We had rain here north of Ayia Napa on August 10 last year and because it was the same date also on Aug 10 2008. Sad I know but I remember the dates because of picking up family from Larnaca airport.

If that means cooler weather is on the way, then it's most welcome.

The seas were very choppy out near Argaka and Pomos today. I was trying to get some beach shots to finish off a blog but was surrounded by surf. Very windy too.

We had rain tonight twice in Anarita. 7pm, a few drops as a black cloud passed overhead and then two hours later as another cloud passed overhead. Lasted about ten seconds and was not Peter Kay rain.

We just had a few spots in Kamares .
