Cicadas

Not sure if it’s just where i am in Kamares, but the noisy cicadas don’t appear to have come above ground yet. Don’t they usually start around mid June? Maybe it’s not been consistently hot enough for them. Not that I’m complaining but now that I’ve said it, Sod’s law, they’ll probably all pop up and start chirping tomorrow.

I had one start its motor up a couple of nights ago and for Trev this is what the noisy critters look like!

Thank you for the picture. It was not what I was thinking of, so I am better informed now.. We do hear them in our locality but not yet as far as I know

Got plenty round my house. Love the sound, to me it epitomises summer.

There's been one outside bedroom window in the tree every night for the last couple of weeks,how anything that small can make such a noise I don't know!,hoping the rest of his family aren't joining him!
