Paphos Life

Can anyone tell me how long post is taking from UK to Paphos. Sent large letter 4th june track and trace still not arrived,

It was taking 4 - 6 weeks

TO the UK, just 1 week

Had a package sent tracked and signed for from UK to Cyprus on 24 March.
Royal Mail showed it left UK Langley HWDC and it then disappeared. 18 May we chased it, to be told it's lost.
Then on 23 May, it showed as being sent a second time from Langley!
It reached Larnaca on 17 June and collected from the post office by the recipient this morning.
How it can be sent twice will forever be a mystery....

Not from the U.K. , but a package for me has now landed twice in Larnaca . 26th May and 17th June ? Not got to me yet .

My last three orders from Amazon UK were all lost in shipping, refunded but it is not as it should be, due of course to this virus outbreak,if your order from say Amazon is important to you then best to pay for the faster service UPS.

how do you choose a faster delivery service like UPS with Amazon, I can never seem to find an alternative.

I ordered 2 rubber bungs from China months ago heres the tracking of the package.

• 12 May 2020
• 5:45pm Departed from facility SHENZHEN

It once took 28 days to get from lanaka to Paphos for one package!!

There is usually a choice with Amazon to use 'Expedited Delivery' when you check out / go to pay..
Obviously at an extra charge

Unfortunately not always now. A friend finally got his birthday card after nearly 4 weeks. It was posted at the main post office.

Expedited delivery as Trev and MM says is a choice you have when you click to buy with Amazon..

Today in fact a parcel is waiting for me at the PO it will be an item I purchased with a normal UK Mail delivery service via our PO system, it is three months late, and it has been refunded weeks ago, now I have to send it back via the PO, Amazon normally pay for this, sometimes they just give it to you...

It is a very fast reliable system but makes your orders a tad expensive.

Yes Lloyd as I did mention this virus outbreak is probably the reason for my missing and very late arrivals from Amazon UK and DE, I will not bother now and wait for these bad times to go, if ever.

I agree with Lloyd , Amazon now no longer offer expedited delivery on some items .

One good service I found recently was placing an order on AliExpress , and an item was sent from China with DHL and arrived at my door within a week .

Did you have to pay VAT on that item?

No I didn’t , I was expecting too .

Update on my very late delivery of a kitchen unit cooker, Amazon UK said please keep the item and enjoy using it, it pays to be honest and I did ask them what I should do with it, great service caused by a problem not of their making..well done Amazon UK..

Another option for buying goods is eBay , a lot of items offer express delivery to Cyprus , but their service is more expensive than Amazon , typically £18 .

I had an Item delivered this week , this time they used a firm called Kronos express , they seemed to struggle finding me in Kamares .

To get back to the original subject, I see on track and trace that a package for me left the UK on 4 June and arrived at Larnaca on 26 June.
