As already announced the gradual lift of restrictive measures on flights to and from the Airports of Larnaca and Paphos will be implemented in two stages:
STAGE A – 9 June – 19 June 2020
STAGE B – 20 June 2020
Countries will be categorized by the Minister of Health depending on their epidemiological profile into categories A and B.

Won't really affect many of us, as regular flights to the Uk seem to be mainly off limits, for the next month or so. Lets hope that they will manage to get the virus to retreat from the UK before the end of the summer..

We were only saying that today, that the last thing that Cyprus needs is plane loads of holidaying Brits, who on their countries present rate of infections will very likely bring cases of the virus with them. To clog up,our hospitals again, just as they are trying to get back to normal working.
But for Cyprus its a catch 22 situation, as the island's economy needs tourists.
Ideally, this year it would be better to focus on smaller numbers of high value tourists than on mass travel packages.
Dee.

Unfortunately as soon as some normality returns people are under the impression “it’s all over” if everyone is still careful hopefully it will be, it’s an enemy that cannot be seen, some people with Covid have hardly any symptoms .......

You do come out with some strange statements –
“ Ideally, this year it would be better to focus on smaller numbers of high value tourists than on mass travel packages.”
What exactly is a high value tourist – Do they wear Mink Flip Flops ?
And are you inferring that all travel package tourists are Riff Raff ?

Maybe that’s where we are going wrong –
If they had Peasant Detectors at the Airports the job would be sorted .

Unfortunately, you can sometimes find irresponsible people! I'm glad to say that I am mostly managing to shop when shops are quiet. But always wear a mask in the supermarket. Went out for lunch yesterday, but the restaurant had widely distanced tables, so hopefully not a problem.
Referring to what someone wrote about people in bars and restaurants not wearing masks. Well how can you eat or drink wearing a mask?

Have decided not to go anywhere near tourist areas when they arrive...
Also will avoid supermarkets frequented by tourists, and restaurants and bars.
Will stick to inland areas ....

All probably very sensible advice. Even in Paphos, the Harbour and TOTK area are usually the main area used by tourists. So there are still alternative places which are not. It is harder in Peyia/Coral Bay as Phillipos has the monopoly there!

Many seem, as you say, think "it's all over". Let's hope "well it is now"
Unfortunately still a significant number think it was overrated and the rules and regulations have never applied to them.
