Someone locally suggested you can deposit cash via the ATM direct to your account at the Hellenic Bank. Is this an urban myth or is it possible?

I've paid a cheque in via the ATM in the past, so it might be possible to pay cash too.

I believe that it is possible but there are strict rules as to the type of envelope used to contain the bills, along with a detailed accounting of each denomination of note and cheque. Ask your bank manager!
