This is a very powerful statement by the UN boss-man that many countries need to get their act together re coronavirus and also, secondarily, climate change. Between the lines, read US and similar.

Thing is though, we've been having warnings about global warming for decades and people - and not just politicians, but the majority of society - are quite happy to brush it under the carpet.

It's like that warning about a new pandemic? So what? Global warming is a far bigger threat to humanity than any pandemic. Indeed, from the point of view of global warming, the pandemic couldn't have happened at a better time. Perhaps Planet Earth is a bit more sentient than we think?
