Where can I get my garden shears sharpened locally?

Very simple to sharpen it yourself. Cut 1/2 meter of aluminium kitchen foil and fold it into a long string, ca 3 cm diameter. Then you cut this string into small pieces and you will realize with every cut it will be sharper and work better. Helps also with normal scissors and cheap knives....

Tried this yesterday, with tinfoil and thicker aluminium containers.
Didn't work at all.
Watched a YouTube version and the host had problems with pinking
shears also. It didn't work for her either.

Actually it is an easy job to do yourself if you have a flat file.. Just run the file over the blade at roughly 90 degree and at the same angle of the cutting edge on the blades If you haven't a file maybe the DIY section at Phillipos
Maybe there will be instructions on the internet

I thought of that Alan.
Probably not a lot of cost difference between
sharpening and buying new.
The shears I have, wouldn't cut butter.

Sand paper on a sanding block, a piece of wood will do, and a bit of elbow grease ob done
