Cornelia... Yes per panel your output is less than mine or Ians. But I don't think it is too bad..

In practice it does not matter how much you produce as long as it is more than you consume year..

I'm guessing you'll have a Kostal inverter. Did you get the option to buy a 10, 15 or 20 year warranty extension? It looks like 15 years would cost circa EUR575 extra.

Cornelia

Every installation is different, tilt, position to the Sun, etc

If you live near the sea there is higher humidity which effects the result as well
as does the temperature. At the moment Polemi is 5C cooler than Kato Paphos.

Both Trev and Ian produced just over 6 kWh per kWp installed.
Your 26.4 kWh are not far apart of that.
Also a single day is a too short period of time the come to an conclusion.

344 for February, 342 for March to date.

Max, In the 4 weeks from 23 Feb to 23 Mar (only read on a Thursday) mine produced 274 (19 today).

Thank you panoscouse, Ian, for your results. I did a little study and Ian you
should have 4700 kWh/year, ....March is correct

panoscouse, if you live in Pano Arodes, your reading is actually too low,
I did a study on the area and you should have at least 350 kWh - 4850 kWh per year...

Max, my system was installed at the end of April last year and so far (11 months) has produced 4834.

If you are the one with the modules installed in the garden you will produce app 5200 kWh/year as PV installed as a Free-standing produces more kWh than on the roof. There is more ventilation and cooling effect on the modules which is positive as above 25C per every 10C you have more losses. But you should have more kWh of your last reading from 23.2. to 23.3., so you better check! Feb. 320, March 450!!

Surely you cannot be so precise as to what each installation will produce.. There are clouds up there in the sky sometimes, and dust in the atmosphere, and on the panels..

No Max, on the roof of a 2 storey. Panels are split in 2 locations on the roof to maximise exposure from sunrise to sunset. I haven't been up there for 4 months so I suspect they need a clean, a job for next week. I expect that over 12 months 5200 will be easily achieved and that's more than I need having a separate system for the pool.

I am very impressed from your results at Arodes. Cooler temperatures nearly all year and much less humidity in Summer sure helps a lot.
So you are saying that 6 modules are facing SSE and 6 modules SSW? Which brand and type of modules are installed? Which tilt? That's very good news for people living away from the sea in higher areas to have a net metering system installed as the ROI (return of interest) is then much better than expected.

There should not be too much dust on the panels anyhow. When I do a study of
a certain location it includes of course calculation parameters of humidity, sea level, temperature, mountains, etc of that area to get just about an idea what is possible.

But you missed out any mention of the clouds.. :D
That is surely an 'unknown'

Max, they're all on the one roof 6 at one end and 6 across the front. This is to catch the sun as it transverses across the front of my house.
It makes quite a difference in winter as the sun sets directly in front.
I can't remember the brand name but they are Austrian made.
No idea on tilt but a wild guess would be 15-20 degrees.
As to ROI i'm not bothered, it was a lifestyle choice.
I no longer hear the words, you've left a light on, wasting electric etc.
If i'm cold the heating goes on and likewise the aircon if too warm, all without a second thought as to the cost.

Thank you for the infos. Perhaps you got mono crystalline panels (modules) installed which tend to be more efficient in warm weather conditions.
Performance suffers as temperature goes up, but less so than polycrystalline solar panels. Anyhow as I have said before you have a amazing good
result so far. Maybe one day you go for a electric pool heating system (heat pump) to prolong the time you can enjoy your pool...(but only if you
have pool cover installed)

No problem. :)

Moving threads can after a couple of weeks gets time consuming, as once you move it, you are plonked back to the top of General Discussions, rather than page 5 where you want to be. So anybody who highlights a thread that can be moved to a more appropriate category is doing me a favour.
