Wow! The cops really are busy in Paphos; 4 traffic offences in an hour.

You always have a 'down' on the police... They said that they had checked 120 vehicles. And no doubt a lot more went past them that were not committing any offence ..

They were out and about this morning by MacDonalds up from Debenhams doing speed checks.

Well done the police! They really seem to have been out and about more recently and very busy! I hope that people who habitually speed, drink and drive and commit other motoring offenses will have learnt something. It will be worth it if the standard of driving improves on the roads around Paphos.. Hope that isn’t just pie in the sky!

It is not just the ones who are caught who (hopefully) learn their lesson. It's the ones who saw the police out and about, checking other vehicles, and also the ones who hear or read about the checks and fines, that will learn a lesson from this.
I was stopped for speeding on one of the roads in the area surrounding Polemi, many months ago. Since then, rather than driving at the speed of others, I try to keep to the limit. So, yes, I am that irritating driver in front of you pootling slowly along the road into Polemi past the Sodap winery! I now stick to the 50kph limit whereas I had previously been overtaken doing 70kph.

Last year I thought I was being stopped for speeding on the way out of the village towards Sodap.
But no it was for overtaking a slow vehicle and crossing the single white line.
The Police are out there, doing their job..
