Logbook update

After visiting couple of banks and Citizens advice nobody would tax the car without the logbook, apparently they need a reference number of lt ! So l obtained a copy from my insurance office and taxed the car online this morning with no problems!

Yes it can be taxed without the LOGBOOK at any commercial bank or at Citizens Service Centre .
All that is required is the Current MOT and Valid Insurance cover.
You should ask Lincoln how he manages to do this!!

Hi Lincoln how did you manage without the logbook,even though l knew them in the bank they still couldn't. do it,,no offence intended !!

Hi Lincoln,the special number as you call it was on my logbook ,will make a note of it just in case!!,but correct me if iam wrong but if you haven't got your logbook how do you know the number?

On the log book it is section C.9 , last three digits .

But excluding any type of /0 at the end ...
i.e. my C.9 says A/000000XXXX/0 where the last three XXX are the digits that I have to use to tax the car.
Dominic, we really need a shrug shoulders emoji!!
