Paphos Life

Looking for a new lampshade only without the base but haven’t had any luck so far. The only place we found was Super Home but a very limited range so can anyone advise us where we can go please

This has always been a problem over here. It’s worth looking in charity shops but otherwise the choice is very limited.

I’ll have to try the charity shops then but I still can’t understand why a lamp shade is so difficult to buy on its own

I agree that they're very thin on the ground in Paphos, but I managed to get 4 light grey ones in Jumbos a little while ago. Paps in Geriskipou also have them but not a great choice of colours, mostly beige. The St Michael's charity shop in Geriskipou may have some left. There was a lovely apple green one there a few days ago.

The light shop near the Fire station/Debenhams has them.

I had forgotten about Paps by the harbour, a good thought plus Debenhams (before they close!!) The thing is we need a bright red one so that could be a real big problem

Maybe next time you go to the UK, bring one back as hand luggage?

Have you tried Steptoes?

Have you tried Sun Tower ( next to Cosmic Bowling ) on Apostolou Pavlou Avenue they have a lighting section near the tills

I looked in Jumbo today. They had grey, beige, silver lampshades but nothing in red.

There's 2 shops near Makarios' Head, Dimco being one. There's also Tower electrics on Adamantios

We’ve been to Sun Tower and Steptoes but not Dimco as yet so will give them a try. Can’t believe it’s so difficult just for a lampshade only!!

Ampersand in paphos sell them and are very good quantity how ever not the price of jumbo
