Someone needs to stand up against Erdoğan, the Turks have been making rumblings about redeveloping the area as it is a waste

Certainly are some startingly hard to look at photos, will this ever be sorted I doubt it personally..

I can imagine that the Turkish Cypriots also feel sad as they watch the buildings in Varosha gradually deteriorate over the years. This situation could have been resolved years ago had there been a settlement of the Cyprus problem. But this still seems no nearer to a solution, so in this situation maybe they will try to restore buildings that can be saved and return them to usefulness in a tourist area.? But its a mammoth task. Perhaps with funds from the EU?
Just a possibility.

There is not one building in the closed off sector that can be saved, every building will need to be demolished and build from scratch, including underground sewage , water, electricity etc, as for E U funding ,that might happen, but only after a Cyprus settlement is reached.
