Sad news indeed. At 96 he had a very, very good innings and was still knocking out the excellent Just A Minute.

I saw him on stage as the Narrator in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The best thing about him was that he didn't take himself too seriously.

Far more talented than people realised. Obviously as host of Just a Minute for over 50 years. But also Rocky Horror narrator (in fishnet tights), Sale of the Century, straight man to Arthur Haynes, the Comic Strip, Dr Who, host of Have I Got News for You, Benny Hill, thee list goes on.

I'm a huge fan and this is a sad sad loss.
