What happened to the big storm ? We heard nothing here in Tala .

You must be a heavy sleeper, ha ha.. There has been thunder, lightning, heavy rain and strong winds overnight here in Polemi.. Although the sun is out now there are still gale force winds and it is 5.7c in the shade

That’s amazing you are getting gale force winds just now and yet here it is so calm , the trees are not moving .

I can confirm thunder etc in Polemi last night, and there is a definite wind howling. The bunny's cover was blown off in the night, but she's ok.

Well in this corner of a Polemi, there was some fairly heavy rain and hail for about 30 mins around 9:30 last night and no more rain since, the dog has come back from her morning walk with more or less dry paws. A strong breeze but judging by the movement of the shade sail on the car port, nothing by comparison to the storm we had a few Monday’s ago, 6th of January I think it was.

I agree, it's a fizzle-out here with wind speeds/direction, temperature and precipitation not as forecast. I suspect that the warm front, yesterday morning, had something to do with it. My 10:00 yesterday forecast was not good but the only satisfaction is that the official one, several hours later, evoked the same as mine: we were both wrong! I attach today's but...

So wind seems to be getting up but gusty.

Not much wind experienced here in Kissonerga. So much for Gales!!

Peak gust here 9.3 m/s at 13:34, classed as Strong Breeze, down to 2.7 m/s in last hour. Calming down now, so 'crisis' is over. temp down to 4.9°C, so looks like a cold night coming.

It has been cold here in Polemi overnight (Saturday am) We have ice on a small children's paddling pool

1.3°C here at 06:21 at 290 m altitude. Now (09:50) 9.4°C. Brrrr!
