Just want to pick your brains, ive heard about glasses that you wear for night driving, these have a yellow tint, and are worn to reduce glare etc, have any members bought these, do they work, and brand recommendations would be welcome, many thanks.

Assuming you have top-quality lenses, not any old beer-bottle bottom, they will attenuate light in the violet and blue parts of the spectrum. At least 90% of cars in Cyprus have tungsten or 'warm' LEDs, the remaining 10% or less have a bluish light (from either some LEDs or a discharge light bulb). Only the light from the latter would be slightly attenuated (a little less dazzle). Probably, the main effects of wearing them would be a) not very much, but check with your ophthalmologist for your eyes' spectral response; b) the maker of the lenses would be somewhat richer.

I wasn't thinking of going to the optician, more of getting some off Amazon, some very good reviews on there, but I thought someone on here, might have some experience wearing them, cheers.

Still here in UK after 7 months and doing a lot of night driving on very busy roads, brought some night driving glasses for a tenner from the local garage a couple weeks ago they do reduce headlamp glare quite a lot I must say,but they do seem to make the nearside kerb a bit dark, but in my view a tenner well spent,by the way after all the driving here I will never complain about Cypriot driving again!!!!!!!!,standard here is on the whole is bloody terrible!!!!,happy new year to all
