Finally, the sun is back after all that horrible weather over Christmas. The first proper snow has fallen as well. Unfortunately more rain and clouds are on the way... the last 3 days I measured already 63 mm/m2 of rain! Pool is over the top now, but good for hovering in "waste" position...

Our forecast shows that we are just rising out of a deep depression and are currently 'in the eye of the storm'. The forecast shows we'll get more rain in the coming days.

I've just replaced our 15 y-o Davis Vantage Pro 2 which failed. The new one is more accurate, especially measuring real temperature with almost no effect from sunlight. Even in winter, the old one showed ~1°C too high in calm, sunny, weather; in summer, the error could be as high as 2.5-3°C in calm, sunny, weather. It is also better for rain and other measurements because of design changes.

The following graphic shows the results from the new one, at the time shown, measured here in Mosfiloti. You can see that we have had about 125 mm of rain, so far this month (0.2 mm today at 05:23).
