So, the prediction of the German weather forecast was correct for last rainy week with 40 mm in total in my area. It was necessary though as we had so far this autumn: Sep.: 18 mm, Oct.: 15 mm, Nov.: 9 mm, Dec.: 42 mm.
It looks like this week will be only sunny, which will also help to increase room temperatures and production of electricity from my photo-voltaic system as last week that was very poor. Very soon we will see the levels of our dams rising again...

No, for all of Europe

(only joking)
Even BFBS Cyprus radio this morning mentioned that all week we should have nice sunny weather in Cyprus (where else)

Only 40 mm? Our forecasts were fairly accurate with a total of 94.5 mm this month, 134.7 mm since 1 October (start of official rain year in N. hemisphere). Much of the water in past week or so won't go in reservoirs; mostly run-off.

I live in Paphos district not Nicosia and even in our district it varies from village to village a lot. (my measuring unit (bucket) never lies..

Yes! But Paphos usually gets a helluva sight more rain than here (or Nicosia). Our long-term yearly average here is about 395 mm, about 100 mm less than Paphos. (Nicosia rainfall is about 350 mm).

Over here in the east at Deryneia our local weather station recorded 113.03mm between the 9 and 15 Dec inclusive. Pleased to see our local lake in Paralimni has water in again and the flooded fields up the road are a mecca for little Egrets no doubt filling up on frogs.
