Are the Red Arrows display team or the Israeli team practising, as there was very prolonged and heavy aircraft noise today at 11:45 today?

Whatever they were, three of them (I think) flew directly over Polemi.

Years ago we went camping in the South of France, not knowing we were next to a French air force base, it was only when we were snoozing on the beach, did we realise our cock up, when we were awoken by the jets flying over our umbrellas, talk about S***ing ones self.

That's almost as dumb as driving to the Akamas to photograph the remnants of the fire only to get there and realise you hadn't packed a battery.

Or going to the River Bollin to take photos for your geography A level and not realising there was no film in the camera until after you got back...

I could hear them whilst doing my walk from Geroskipou Beach to the harbour. It was a constant aircraft noise for around half an hour. When we got back to Anarita we spotted two of them, one flying at a constant altitude and one diving down from a very high altitude. This was around lunch time.

It is the annual military cooperation exercise between Cyprus and Israel, this year from 18 to 20 Nov.
