Low pressure is beginning to affect the area with showers and isolated thunderstorms forecast today and over the weekend.Friday will be partly cloudy, becoming mainly cloudy from the west with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. I'm waiting, though the weekend is almost over now. OK, it was a forecast not a prediction!

We had a thunderstorm on friday night.

I think that on this occasion the weather forecast, at least in the Coastal area from Coral Bay thru Chloraka to Paphos, was wrong.Not a drop of rain.A few black clouds were visible yesterday afternoon, but otherwise it’s been sunny and warm!

We had more rain tonight.

Actually, thinking about it, we briefly visited Corallia Bay on saturday afternoon. I noted then that it had obviously rained there recently as the sand had lots of rain pit marks.

We had torrential rain early hours of Saturday morning here in Peyia, it was so loud I thought a train was thundering down the street!

No rain today (Sun) in Anarita but had a really heavy shower yesterday afternoon. I went for a walk down at the harbour and could see storm clouds gathering over the hills. Rosemary stayed at home and thought I would be getting soaked. On the way back, around 5:30pm the roads were wet from the Ayia Vivara Industrial area to Anarita. Went down to Londis Perasma Tavern last night at Timi and they had no rain there and people were sitting outside. Must have been a lot of rain as the pool is nicely filled.

There is even water in the River Ezousa on the airport road which we have never seen at this time of year. However, there was still water there at the beginning of July.

Weather conditions can be so isolated here at times. So Peyia, just a stones throw from Kissonerga got very different conditions to me!

Over Paphos nothing, so maybe find a more accurate weather forecast web page?

Why? The prediction was showers and isolated thunderstorms. That is exactly what happened.

Well I can tell you it was a terrific thunderstorm and the rain certainly came down very heavy!

Paphos is a region.

According to Wikipedia the area of the Paphos district is 1396 square kilometres

It also lashed down @ my area @ same time.

Well we had blue on blue for the last few days, today looks the same, clear and pleasant, no idea why we had no rain or thunder, as they say the sun shines on the righteous.
