Oh dear, Dominic- we have a Google ADs invasion on Paphos Life! VERY annoying...

Nobody expects you to run this site for free, given your hosting costs, domain name fees, etc etc.

If you conduct a Members Poll, I think you'll find that the majority of us would much prefer to have an ADs-FREE PL board, and instead contribute towards your running costs via a PayPal gift every so often, via a new Sticky you create at the top?

What think ye?

I've not seen any but then again I run an Ad Blocker!

What do you mean ab an ads invasion? There is one after the first post on any forum, and the little link thing at the top. That's a lot less than most forums have. Are you sure you haven't been infected by something?

And as far as paypal gifts go, they tend to be very nice in theory.

I should say that given the fairly low key ads that are on the site, it would be nice if people white-listed it.

Thanks for the tips about AD-Blocker, folks! Just installed it to my latest Firefox and I'm now ADs free, wooooo!! Might even be able to watch a YouTube vid now, without this pesky AD issue at the start!

Paypal donations worked very nicely on our ukcvs.net (Sat/Cable) 'hobby' board hosted on an excellent server in Latvia, Dom. To the extent that having sufficient funds to keep us going for another 2+ years, we've switched the Donations thingy off for some time since and hence.

Yep Dom, that's what I see and not running any ad blocker.
But 95% viewing/posting on IPad which I think makes a difference???

That's all there is at the moment. Anyway, I am locking this now because Google get funny about mentioning their ads.
