Where have all the frogs gone?

When we came here in 2004, we had numerous Cyprus Tree Frogs not only in our garden but also in the surrounding gardens. Despite being incredibly noisy at mating time, we delighted in seeing them. For the past few years now we have not heard a single frog let alone seen any. Is this just our local area (Polemi) or have other readers noticed a decline in these beautiful creatures?

None here, either, in the middle of the country, perhaps for 4 or 5 years.
