Good luck with this enterprise, Dominic, and may it be successful. The various expat forums were, and still are, very helpful to those intending to move here or those of us who did make the move. As long as newcomers realise there is a great deal of difference between fact and opinion, all will be well.

Sorry to see CL close. I've agreed with Jim 75% of time having similar views and interests.
May this site be a great success.

Thanks for this but at the risk of being a pain I wonder if there is an option to put in "view unread posts" please?
It means you miss nothing x :D
search.php?search_id=newposts
Even easier than that, just click on QUICK LINKS at the top of the forum.
Thanks J B. Dom had replied earlier tho which encouraged me to have a proper look around the site. Like this Notification thingy in particular

Thank you Dominic for setting up this site so quickly. I have registered without problem thankfully. Long time member of Cyprus Living but did not post often although made it a daily read for the often very informative information it gave and without which I would find myself quite lost. Recognise some of the former CL members so is comforting to know they are still going to be around. Thank you once more and a Happy New Year to you and your family.

Rita

It feels like a family reunion seeing the names of so many people from other forums!

Thank you. These forums enable people who don't live full time in Cyprus to keep up to speed with what's going on but maybe more importantly, are a great help for people seeking advice/information.

I too must say thank you for being so speedy! It is good to know that we can continue to have this valuable 'go to' resource!

If there are any more resources you would like to see here, post a suggestion in the Site Suggestion forum. I am currently working on getting the weather showing, and med prices, but there is no harm in asking for other stuff too. :)

Am grateful to have forums in Cyprus as an ex expat with property in Cyprus ( albeit in eastern Cyprus ) without such sites we uk residents wouldn't know what's happening on a daily basis, and find it vital to have that link...

At least if I say I live in the UK now as a returnee I won't be treated like an idiot...as I hardly dare refer to it before..and even better the new site owner has political leanings similar to my own....

We are over to Cyprus in a few weeks...just for a week this time...but as we're now on the market we will be over a lot more...

Ha ha Lynsab, the forums are not only for UK residents, but for all nationalities. ;-)
