I walk along this beach most days on my daily walk and I remember Al each time I walk past.
Riccos Beach on 1st November.

He broke down for me how to say Papantoniou... a small thing perhaps but I really appreciated him taking the time to do so as I was consistently getting it wrong..
Thank you again Al and RIP xxx

Was sorry to read this news - didn't know him personally just through years of his postings on various forums.
My condolences and RIP Al.

Just to add.
His daughter has sent out text messages to people in his address book.
"This is Erika, Alan's daughter. It is with great sadness I'm sending txts to all of Dad's contacts. To let you know my Dad recently passed away after health complications."
Again, I am gutted to post this news.
Last email I sent to AL was regarding this post.
viewtopic.php?f=62&t=3105&p=34681&hilit ... ton#p34681
Al was also a bit of a petrol head, I sent him a link to the last news story of this guy breaking his own record at Elvington a few weeks ago.
As I got no reply, I sadly knew something was wrong.
(I'm John by the way).
Regards
Bozzy

Gone but not forgotten - a very appropriate new signature that you added Dominic.
RIP Alan - missing you!
