That's an easy one. I have created a group called "The Naughty Step". I set permissions so that anybody in the naughty step group would not be able to see the "Learning Greek" forum. I chose that one as a test. Anyway, I made myself a member of that group, and all of a sudden I was unable to even see the "Learning Greek" group.

All I need to to is create Politics Lite, or whatever I call it, and set it so that anybody in the naughty step group won't be able to see it. Then, if anybody does overstep the line, they will be put in the naughty step group, and thus be unable to see the Politics Lite group. They will still be able to post in the other Politics group however.

It sounds more complicated than it is!

Politics will always be an emotive subject but I don't believe separating the differing factions will result in anything other than a pretty tame perhaps even boring discussion.
I think the guilty parties...& they know who they are need to tone it down a bit & if they aren't capable of doing so then send them to the pit where they can growl amongst themselves & slap each other on the back

If you don't like the idea of the Politics for Moderates section, then join this group. You will then not be able to even see it. Ditto for the other group.

The above two groups are controlled by you the users. The other group "The naughty step" I control myself.+

In addition, the word filter for "Remoaners" will be removed on the proviso that its usage stays in the politics section. The hilarious Grump filter will also go, unless he specifically wants it to stay as a badge of honour.
