Hmmm, there are dark rumours circulating the house that George the Dove is actually George the Pigeon. After an extensive 30 second search on google, it seems that he is most likely a Release Dove, which is a pigeon that has been bred for the purposes of looking like a white dove, which don't actually exist in nature, unless albino.

The rumour was further compounded by the arrival of a smaller, collared dove, this morning, along with several free-loading sparrows. Now the sparrows have always been here, but they are now congregating near George. This is probably due to the food we were leaving out for him. Note the tense.

It should also be noted that yesterday George took a few flights around the garden. So perhaps he had been injured after all, and he is now stretching his wings again? Time will tell.

George is still around. He has nicer plumage than your one Max. Almost looks like he is wearing little booties.
