There is no way for a doctor to know which of the triptanes will work except to find out by trial and error (I´m saying this being one myself). But my post wasn´t about my gf´s specific case but to point out that not all medication is available in Cyprus even if it´s listed. Droperidol, a potent antiemetic would be another example. According to what I was told there is no international pharmacy in Cyprus which could order medication not available. The easiest way is probably to get it from the North or to have it sent from overseas.
I´d like to point out something else I became aware of recently only: You cannot safely assume that medication which is available in Cyprus under a specific name has the same ingredients as in your home country. To my surprise I learnt that e. g. corotrope has a totally different active ingredient in Cyprus (and Malta) as in every other country I´m aware of (prednisolone as opposed to milrinone). So you better know the ingredients you want if you order something from the pharmacy. Where is the EU when you need it? Such differences shouldn´t be allowed as it causes risk.
