What I wonder is whether bombing cheapical weapons production facilities doesn´t come with the risk that toxic chemicals are released which might cause some "collateral damage" in the form of innocent lives?
Why would that concern the USA, they poured more chemical bombs on innocent people then any other nation, in the History of the World....people are still suffering from USA chemical warfare in Vietnam as we speak.

The heat and force generated from the explosions will have incinerated most if not all of the agents, which are generally stored in an inhert state and only "assembled" prior to immediate use.
I´m still not sure I´d like to camp nearby.

It remains to be seen if Putin will take any action, hope not, but can he do nothing after all the threats ? It's a very dangerous situation as I see it.

What pisses me off is America supplied the rebels (Isis) in the beginning to fight Assad. The whole thing just stinks and is corrupt. We are manipulated by governments and told packs of lies no matter what country we live in. Its shit it stinks and the American v Russia thing is just a very dangerous situation.

I guess all you can do is wait until the next dust storm arrives?
People are already asking on social media through their tour operator if their holidays to Cyprus will be cancelled...... anyone would think this kind of action has never been taken before.

Putin is as dangerous as they come, if he feels he will lose face by taking no action, it's a no brainer. As for the rest of the world, I don't think that Putin gives a damn.

Well, the Sun newspaper in the UK, printing thew usual rubbish about defence chiefs standing by to evacuate all 25,000 Brits resident is Cyprus, along with the holidaymakers. They also have spurious quoted with people saying they’ve cancelled breaks etc.

How do these idiots get elected?
Simple.
Some use the old roman Caesar method, get the army behind you and threaten everyone else.
Some use the fake election method, only one candidate is allowed to stand and it is compulsory to vote for him.
Some get all the idiots in the nation to vote for them by promising the Earth.
I much prefer the current Italian model. Regardless of who gets elected the populace just goes about its daily business.

The UK suffered for years after WW11 ended with rationing and a lower standard of life. It took years to clear and finally to redevelop the numerous bomb sites in our cities. Germany on the other hand received large amoubts of money to enable it to rebuild all uts infrastructure. As one can see in the layout out and rebuilding of their bomb damaged cities and industries and their excellent railway system and roads.

“It has become something of a cliché that the Marshall Plan paid for rebuilding but that was not true. The Marshall Plan did not come in until late 1948 and 1949. And the point of the plan was to rebuild economies and not cities. They did use some money to rebuild West Berlin and that was for political reasons as the Americans saw it as a statement — a capitalist city in the middle of the communist East. The Marshall Plan has become an international cliché whenever cities are damaged in war. But it didn’t apply to most reconstruction in Germany. Individuals borrowed money, often from relatives in the country, and that is where they also found building materials. It was never centrally managed.”

If you read tat like the Express what do you expect?
Plus, if ww3 did kick off, Cyprus would be less of a target than the UK, for a few minutes at least.

The UK tabloid papers trade on creating sensational headlines. It’s what sells papers! We should expect that RAF Akrotiri will be able to defend itself against possible attack. As Akrotiri is pretty close to Limassol would they attack the town knowing that thousands of Russians are living there and investing heavily in many new projects and businessess?
Apart from that it is common knowledge that Cyprus has ties both financially and politically to Russia and presumably is classed as a friendly country.
