Please just to be very clear The hotel is not closing down.
Thanks for the update. I have added an admin note to the first post of this thread, stating that the hotel is closed for the off season and will re-open next year.
That way, people won't look at the first five posts and assume the worst.

Thanks for that info D&P.
I've just checked Wikipedia and found this................
Agapenor (Ancient Greek: Ἀγαπήνωρ, gen. Ἀγαπήνορος) was a leader of the Arcadians in the Trojan war.[1] He was a son of Ancaeus, and grandson of Lycurgus. As king of the Arcadians he received sixty ships from Agamemnon, in which he led his Arcadians to Troy.[2][3] He also occurs among the suitors of Helen.[4][5] He was one of the men to be in the Trojan Horse.[6]
On his return from Troy he was cast by a storm on the coast of Cyprus,
where he founded the town of Paphos and in it the famous temple of Aphrodite.[7] He also occurs in the story of Alcmaeon: it was to him that Arsinoe (Alphesiboea), Alcmaeon's wife was sold away by her own brothers.[8]
Agapenor had a daughter Laodice, who was known for having sent to Tegea a robe as a gift to Athena Alea,[9] and to have built a temple of Aphrodite Paphia in Tegea.[10]

Well, maybe it is opening or is about to...... I drove past it today and the first thing which I noticed is that its national flags are fluttering from from the flag poles at the front of the hotel. Also at least one of the previously closed shops also at the front of the hotel is now full of new stock displayed in the windows.
Now most of the former building and roadworks around that area have been finished, the road is now open but quiet, it’s ready to welcome holday makers hopefully.
