No, I haven't been blocked in while in the car park at Paphos General. They have increased the area covered by carparks now, which sometimes mean you have a longer walk to get into the hospital, butat least the parking is free! No grumbles..
Parking at Cheltenham Gen is another ballgame,as well as being expensive, even more so if the dept you are visiting is running late. Also I was lucky to even get a place there as it is patently not large enough to cope with the number of cars trying to find spaces. The alternative is to drive around the roads nearby, parking where ever you can, which may mean a long walk! Maybe it would help if hospitals or the local authority had to provide a regular bus service to hospitals?

I think if you made a charge for Parking at Paphos General then the nearby streets would be full.
By the way I do not know of a Cyprus Hospital that does charge for parking . Long may it continue..

I'm sure that you are right in that, Trev. Even with free parking, some people still try parking in the bus lay by on the road at the front of the hospital. Periodically the police come along and put parking tickets on any vehicles found parked there!

I can'rt remember which day it was last week, but it was raining cats and dogs! I arrived at 08:40 & there just 2 people ahead of me at Registration & I had only a 3 person wait to see Dr Nikos P. It's surprising how rain cures so many, all on it's own!

Dee, I parked in the bus bay one day and then went and registered. I had so much tome spare I decided to go to Paphos and do same shopping. When I came back, like you say cars were being ticketed in the bus bay..

Mike there are a lot of people visit the GP's at the hospital for repeat prescriptions, not because they need an examination. If it was pouring down they may just have decided to go on another day..

I think you missed my point Trev. If you want to avoid the long queues & waits, go when it's raining. :D
