Zyrtec D. It's a combination if a vasoconstrictor (which reduces swelling of mucosal membranes) and an antihistamine. Of course, it can only alleviate the symptoms but that being able to breathe through an unblocked nose goes a long way for me.

I use Comtrex Cold which is less well known than Snip but it works very well for me. All the Pharmacies have it. At bedtime I take Lemsip - a powder dissolved in warm water.
Also take extra Vit C. These combined treatments usually get rid of my cold and give me relief from the cold symptoms.
