I try to do the stuff that peeps recommend here and do have a dehumidifier which runs 24/7 in the winter months. My problem is whether or not to open the windows??? (a) does the humidifier then not start dehumidifying Paphos?? (b) if it's bucketing down outside, which it frequently does here in the winter, does opening the window help, or does it as previous point, encourage the dehumidifier try to dehumidify Paphos???

Erm, Shropshire please, not Salop! :D

Nope, we don't seem to get mould in our Tala house - we used to get a bit on the bathroom ceiling but a quick scrub with some bleach and ensuring the window was left open after each shower soon fixed that.
Okay, Shropshire then it is! (I think Salop was an HMG description used for Shropshire back in the 70s/80s?)

My Grandson Oliver lives in Shrewsbury and is a top class carpenter/joiner. PM me if you want his contact info, please...

Meanwhile, if you have no mould problems in your Tala residence, then there's no need for me to ask you if you need a 'House Sitter' (paying water, leccy, etc) when you're back here farming, is there?

Cheers- AL :(

That´s the reason for my above question by how much rel% of humidity was decreased. A hygrometer would answer that question for less than €10.-
