See this blog, specifically Page 7. I don't know about the shop signs, but previous signs have been placed here.fishbeardsunset wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 3:16 pmWhat I fail to get round my head is - what has physically happened to the shopkeeper's awnings that were removed. Are they allowed to claim/reclaim their property back- if indeed they have not all been mixed up with what goes where- and owned by whom, as some of these installations would have cost quite a lot of money. So irrespective of the Mayors' "good deeds" I have sympathy for those shopkeepers that may have lost their awnings completely, irrespective of whether they should have or not been erected in the first place. Could it also be that the election for a new Mayor is up for grabs shortly and he is just itching to show the powers that be he is worthy of getting re-elected again. Road works and improvements to these areas seem to have no real "project management" whatsoever
Just look at what has happened in Peyia, near the Harris bar and Brewery Bar stretch of road, with all the traffic and bus diversions it seems to go on and on with no end date in sight![]()
