I think that there is little doubt that Cyprus wants to attract wealthy people, whether private individuals or foreign companies looking for an "off-shore" base - who can invest in the island.
Plus its not just Brits coming here, even Paphos has a very international feel-to it whether its with people living here of many nationalities, or the many tourists currently holidaying here.
The only nationality which has probably declined in numbers currently are the Russians..

think we know that meduck, higher income from individuals generates more tax for spending how governments want to, don't call me racist, turkey allows influx which we all know, this country not like i remember in the early eighties anymore.
