So why should the UK pick up the tab, for your heating here in Cyprus?
Because of the amount i paid in tax and National Insurance etc into the UKs coffers over my working life and as i said i never drew a penny back of the state. No big deal of course,,but the principal?
Unfortunately it doesn't work like that, if you choose to go and live in another country, its not the responsibilty or should it be for the UK to pick up your heating tab,
So as a pensioner and i was born abroad and never having set foot in the UK and got myself there some how, never paid a penny tax my heating would then be paid for?

No your heating wouldn't be 'paid for'. You would get an allowance of a few hundred pounds if you were a Pensioner living in the UK

I think what Chaddy is getting at is he has paid into the UK system, now lives abroad and gets nothing, while somebody of pensionable age gets into the UK by whatever means, has paid nothing into the system but gets fuel allowance.

Exactly, there are UK pensioners, who live here in Cyprus, and have never paid a penny in Tax, yet they get Cyprus heating allowance, as some have posted on here.... If they are entitled to it, then good luck to them.

I think you should answer Chaddy, I wasn’t expressing any opinion just stating what I thought Chaddy meant, I keep my opinions to myself.
