Just been back to the CSC with the extra documents. All accepted and then I noticed the new driver’s licence will expire before my birthday date. I was told it was because it was taken from the date the doctor signed the medical certificate. I haven’t read that anywhere before!

Sorry I have only just seen your query about the photograph. It was taken at the CSC this morning.

At least you have only lost a number of days out of (hopefully) three years.
It is similar to car MOT's You can have them done a few days or weeks early. But the 2 years only runs from the New MOT date and not from the expiry of the old certificate..
