In June I built a car port 6 meters x 2.5 meters.
I am glad I am not doing it now in this heat, well at least the car is cooler!

Yes for many of us a warmer climate was one factor, however in the 30 years we've been here the length of the uncomfortably hot season has got longer. Normally at this time of year we would be having some relief. Like you we love the beach, but shopping, gardening, cooking, washing, ironing and other sundry odd jobs must still be done and doing most of those is not pleasant by anyone's standard
Out of that list, the only thing I do is water the plants, I guess that comes under gardening
😊Lucky you. I've got quite a few bushes and a hedge to trim, really hard going in this weather
Many many moons ago, when we got our first house, the wife was on my case to weed the garden, I accidentally on purpose, dug up some of her favorite plants, told me to put the spade down, and never darken her flower beds again, worked a treat

"File too large" to add pic, car's temp gauge shows 45
Maybe we crossed face masks. I was there, too, and couldn't get into the inadequate blue zone parking but managed just opposite. Didn't look at the temp but getting back in the car at 13:30 was painful, after 2 hours. Never believe car temps, too many variables.

Off topic: this was the first of my numerous three monthly visits that I saw the widespread use of face masks by both the staff and the visitors. Last time, few of the staff had them but perhaps 1/4 of the visitors. Things have changed! The cafeteria is now a dead loss :-(

I went out photographing beaches for the directory the other day. I managed one (the new one by Venus) before succumbing to the heat and flopping into the sea at Corallia.

Just checked the ground temp in our court yard and it's 55.8c, and we have not got to the hottest part of the day yet!

43.9°C (ventilated weather station) here in sleepy ole arctic Mosfiloti at 13:17. Second highest on record but definitely record for September. (45.2°C on normal non-ventlated weather system)
