Please can anyone recommend a building contractor to move some drains, and dig some foundations (heavy equipment needed), also remove a couple of internal walls and insert supporting beams.
We are planning a large extension to our house and have all the relevant plans/licenses but the contractor our architect has found has quoted a ridiculous amount - more than the house could ever be worth just to do the groundwork, they are a large company who don't really want a job like ours, but surely there must be a smaller company who can do the job and who live in the real world.
Thank you in advance for any replies

Re: Building Contractor
We too would appreciate a few suggestions for reputable builders to work on our house in Kamares. Any thoughts? Thank you.

There some brothers from Syria are very good.
They have an office/showroom on the ToTK road. Very near the turning to the Duck Pond market. Very good workmen. Michael lives in Mesogi near the school.

Re: Building Contractor
We had our house built in 2004 by Andreas Hadjiyiannis and he did a fantastic Job, never have we had a problem to address.
He and his wife Eleni are well known and respected in the Paphos area as quality building contractors whom have completed many major projects including housing and commercial properties.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.
They have a facebook page with contact details. www.facebook.com/andreashadjiyianniscontractors/

Very good friends had a major, and I mean major, refit/build by SNAP of the place they purchased in Kamares.
I’ve been there many times and am most impressed with the quality of fittings and work plus they arranged for all necessary building permits, TD amends etc.
They would certainly be on my short list for major works.
