Only in Cyprus! A touch of humour in this when most of the news is a series of awful happenings.

Who remembers the days when there were signs near Episopi on the hill near Kourion which read’Beware road slippery with grape juice’? Was the road closed? No, motorists were expected to react to that!

Now a major route is closed because of some oranges! Is that an EU rule?

With respect, did you actually see the amount of Oranges on the road, I'm guessing not.

Yes, I did! But oranges aren’t greasy and it was on an uphill stretch of one side of the motorway. The main danger on the motorway is dangerous speeding drivers. Many seem to have no care for their safety, let alone anyone else.
I wonder when the promised speed cameras will actually come?

There was tons of them over a long stretch of road. A car driving over them would have no tracksion with the road, and there's no way, an accident or two would of not happened.
