We need compressed natural gas (definitely NOT liquid natural gas) as a stopgap measure to keep the current power stations operational until we can get rid of natural gas altogether as is becoming clearly inevitable. This would be sufficient to keep the electric generation going while we slowly modernise the country's technology. It would seem that Aphrodite gas would be sufficient to keep us going with a small margin for the inevitable errors!
In my opinion – not humble –, the worst thing we could do is to think about liquid natural gas, LNG.
