Bluetooth headphones connection to TV

Post by MacManiac »

I was bought a lovely pair of Bluetooth headphones for my birthday and they pair simply and seamlessly with my iPad. However I cannot pair them with the television as the TV set does not have Bluetooth. I have read that you can buy a “Bluetooth transmitter” to plug into the television so that the headphones can connect. Reading up about it is, i find, confusing. Has anyone achieved this and can make recommendations?

I have a similar problem as my outlet for sound on my Samsung TV is in use, the only way I can see to use them, but YOUTube has several answers, do take a look..

I had same problem either Bluetooth or Tv Sound.
I found the answer on this site. If you are using a box switch to TV then follow instructions then back to box.
and sound output . Connect Bluetooth and both will work.

Some Bluetooth headphones have the option of a wired connection to your TV , not as convenient but you can buy headphone extension cables quite cheaply and have seen some 20 feet long .

It seems the common problem is with the latency of the devices. Even the highly recommended TaoTronics Bluetooth stereo wireless transmitter has latency issues so that watching television programmes and films is not viable.
