Re: Sunshine radio
I do something slightly different when I'm in the car - I have the TuneIn Radio app on my phone so I choose whatever station I fancy listening to and play it back on the car radio through Bluetooth.

I moved a few posts into the pit, not because they were bad, but because of their sensitive nature. You know where to go to find them.

Re: Sunshine radio
Oh really? I am usually on a mission to find a particular item in there so tend to ignore the noise. Plus getting in and out asap is also on my mind!mouse wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 5:40 pm Jimgym went to Jumbo today ,first time in months the noise from the tannoy was upto it's usual awful standard, good thing I had I trusty earplugs in my wallet. It happens in so many stores now. If you sit outside waggamamas you get to hear waggamamas music AND the mall music ,,,,,oh joy,,,,,, avoiding the noise pollution from stores , shops , pubs and hotels was Definately a plus to lockdown.

Re: Sunshine radio
This is on Sunshine radio facebook.
In case you have not heard already, Sunshine Radio 90.8 FM will be closing down on Friday, July 3rd at 6pm.
The licence to broadcast to Paphos was awarded to Sunshine Radio on July 3rd 2013. How time flies....!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your love and support.
For the time being, the team at Sunshine Radio would like to say good bye and send out their best wishes!
Does this statement mean it's NOT final! For the time being

Re: Sunshine radio
I think most licences work the same way whether for Food, Pub, Club and possibly Radio Station ie- Only a certain number available for a specific area and one has to expire and become available before it can be Re-Applied for so maybe The Aquila is correct – Someone else may be interested in taking it up.
Re: Sunshine radio
I heard the news on Sunshine Radio this morning at 10am. I am feeling sad now that this is the last time I will hear it as I don't think that Rock fm includes news broadcasts. I also enjoyed listening to their choice of music when driving locally. I used to find the chit chat on the other radio channel rather irritating...

Re: Sunshine radio
What happened to MM’s post?
He was one of the presenters.... if he’s still around but I must admit I don’t tend to listen to much radio unless in the car.

Thanks for posting all this. So sad. But I am sure that there are lots of former listeners to Sunshine Radio who will be ready to welcome you back if this business can be sorted out.
Good luck!
