Logbook update
After visiting couple of banks and Citizens advice nobody would tax the car without the logbook, apparently they need a reference number of lt ! So l obtained a copy from my insurance office and taxed the car online this morning with no problems!

You should ask Lincoln how he manages to do this!!
Re: Logbook update
Hi Lincoln how did you manage without the logbook, even though l knew them in the bank they still couldn't. do it,,no offence intended !!
Re: Logbook update
Because all they needed was the special number. Which I had with me. However, This time I taxed the car online it was using the same number that the bank required last time.
All things are possible
Re: Logbook update
Hi Lincoln, the special number as you call it was on my logbook ,will make a note of it just in case!!,but correct me if iam wrong but if you haven't got your logbook how do you know the number?
Re: Logbook update
Tanny is correct. I cannot remember the exact place on the log sheet (book) but it is the same one that they use every year. Last year I gave them the number . This year did it on line.
All things are possible
Re: Logbook update
But excluding any type of /0 at the end ...
i.e. my C.9 says A/000000XXXX/0 where the last three XXX are the digits that I have to use to tax the car.
Dominic, we really need a shrug shoulders emoji!!
