Famagusta: 80% of potato crop wiped out by rains

80% of Famagusta district potato crop has been destroyed by the latest storms, according to the Cyprus News Agency.President of the Pancyprian Potato Growers Association, Andreas Karios, who visited affected fields in Avgorou said that "the rains have affected the winter crop, as well as the one planted 1,5 month ago."...

Where is emgee going to get his chips from if the potato crop is ruined? Does he think they come from some other crop?

That 80% will suddenly shrink to 40% or less after the government pays out the cost of the 'damages'

I made turnip chips once, many, many years ago in the kitchen
of the Fire Station I was based at.

What an absolute pong !! :o
